About Smart Rescue....

A SMART Rescue is a Federally recognized 501(c)(3) that was founded  in 2002 by  two veteran animal rescuers.

SMART established themselves in the Petsmart at I-45 and FM 1960 and they have continued to grow in both volunteer and adoption counts. Currently, in addition to web based adoptions, the organization adopts pets through two Petsmart locations; the original location at I-45 and FM 1960 and in Conroe at I-45 and Hwy 3083.

SMART is 100% foster based and runs strictly off of donations. Animals are cared for in the homes of our volunteers with SMART providing for their medical expenses. All animals in the program are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, given health checks, and feline leukemia/FIV testing for cats and heartworm testing for dogs.
