SMART Rescue is an organization that is located
in Spring, Texas and serves North Harris and Montgomery
Counties .
We are dedicated to the prevention of animal cruelty,
the relief of animal suffering, and the promotion of
education on the humane treatment of animals.
It is our policy to provide humane care and treatment
for animals needing our protection in the area served by
the organization; to return lost animals to their
owners; to seek suitable homes for animals without
owners; and to relieve the suffering of animals in our
care when necessary.

Pet Adoptions
SMART Rescue commits to our animals for life. For that reason, our
adoption process does take time to complete; however we
consider all of our animals to be worth the extra time. We
may require a vet check and/or a home visit to ensure that
the animals in our care are placed in the best possible home
for them and you.
If you are looking for a pet, but have not
decided on any particular one, please contact us and we can
assist you in your search. To view all of our

If you have decided you would
like to visit with one of our pets, please complete an
on-line application and we will contact you as soon as
possible.

In our
strive to provide the best possible placement for the
animals in our care, we at SMART Rescue often
find that some of our rescues require more care than
others. These special needs animals, while adoptable, do
require that special someone who is willing to take the
time to care for an animal that requires just a little
extra attention. Please take a moment to view these
animals and if you are unable to adopt a special
needs pet at this time, please consider donating to
their care.
